Worcester Early Years Centre was opened in 2015 by proprietress Mrs. Alice J Bennett, MBE, B.Ed (Hons), EYPS, who further to raising children on a spacious, working farm, went on to establish Madresfield Early Years Centre over two decades. Now the Worcester based centre is developing the same enviable reputation for outstanding care and early years education for children.
Located in Lower Wick, South Worcester, on the Malvern Road, this purpose-designed and built facility is situated on the Bennetts Farm site. The rural farm includes a safe car-park, large movement hall, kitchen and dining facilities, craft and cookery areas, specialist music, art and drama facilities, reading rooms, cloakrooms and nappy changing areas.
Extensive gardens and playgrounds surround the centre which enable safe access onto the farmyard and beautiful pasture and woodlands beyond. We boast free flow activities and fully fenced area for ball games and team activities.
The Woodland School supports the needs of 'Forest School' activities, with several, delightful nature walks around the farm and private woodlands, clearly marked for the children's use and enabling expeditions on foot.
Our excellent standards of care and education ensure daily learning is fun and exciting, and that every child is carefully nurtured to achieve their full potential.
Worcester Early Years Centre employs over 40 carefully selected and well qualified staff, and is fully registered to receive government funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Open 5 days a week, 7am - 6pm throughout 50 weeks of the year, we offer parents affordable and flexibile child care services in Worcester.
In 2015, our proprietress, Mrs. Alice J Bennett (pictured second from left) was awarded an MBE for services to Early Years Education. An honour she shares with the dedicated and gifted teams at Madresfield and Worcester Early Years Centre.
Worcester Early Years Centre follows the same ethos as the Madresfield Early Years Centre, which has received 6 successive outstanding OFSTED reports and won 3 National Awards for Indoor Learning Environment, Outdoor Learning and the prestigious 'Best Nursery in the UK' from the NDNA.
OOur children's nursery received a Good OFSTED report in November 2023, and in 2019 won the Highly Commended Award at the Nursery World Awards and were Nursery Team Award Winners at the NMT Nursery Awards.
